G&T Youth Baseball offers a (6U) Tee Ball Program, a (8U) Coach Pitch Program, and a (10U) Minors Program. Throughout all the programs, G&T emphasizes teaching young people the fundamentals of the grand old game. We set our schedule so that in addition to games, teams are able to have regular recurring times of practice and instruction.
G&T baseball makes its home at the Grace and Truth SportsPark which features some of the area’s finest playing fields. Our coaches and umpires are carefully chosen because they are helpful, friendly and enthusiastic. Tee Ball and Coach Pitch are played on each Saturday in May and June.
G&T Baseball is a sports outreach ministry of First Bible Baptist Church and is dedicated to fulfilling the vision, purpose and goals of FBBC.
It is the goal of G&T baseball to teach and develop game skills as well as good sportsmanship and biblical values in a family-friendly atmosphere. Using the game of baseball, G&T is working to encourage young people to enjoy optimum health and fitness. We also encourage good spiritual disciplines by regularly presenting “pep talks” – lessons from the Bible which are practical, challenging and informative.
Our Tee-Ball (recommended ages 6U) and Coach Pitch (recommended ages 8U) Programs are designed to introduce your child to the game of baseball. We help them develop the skills of the game at a comfortable pace within their own age grouping. Each child will receive a Major League jersey and cap to keep. We also use special balls that are soft so that a child will not fear the ball and will learn to watch the ball into their glove, yet which are designed to have the same flight patterns of a normal ball. Then, as the children gain in confidence and skill they are introduced to a more normal RIF (Reduced Injury Factor) baseball.
We encourage parents to stay with their children throughout each session and enjoy the fun! If you’ve been involved in years past, welcome back.
